One day I came to the studio and was surprised: the 80-kilogram painting, still for so long, had fallen, and the sculpted clothing had partly come away. The idea came to tear it off completely and let the new painting create itself. I painted the eyes. Stepping back, I saw a gaze — and thought: “Am I looking at this painting, or is it looking at me?”
